appearances can be deceiving

Kat is a character from the Syfy series Alphas. She's one of the neurodiverse, and has the ability to pick up actions quickly just by watching and retain them (possibly for a lifetime) via her muscle memory. The downside to this is that long-term personal memory is lost. Names, faces, birthdates, favorite song, favorite food, etc. is all lost after around thirty days. With practice she may be able to retain these memories longer. For now, she records many things with her cell phone so she can watch them when she forgets.
